It's the start of 2020 at Bishan stadium with relay races. It was a good, hot and clear morning. The sun's heat was literally burning but we all ran or sprinted through the morning heat.
Other athletes, Sherwin, Shermin, Edmund, together with Cheo from Cougars, took part in the 4x400m, 4x800m and 2x1200m relay. Each race had 2 heats, about 16 teams in total with timed finals. Most of us present at the event took part in all 3 races. It was indeed challenging running these 3 distances starting with 400m, followed by 800m and lastly 1200m. Most of us would probably have felt it especially after the 800m.
Nonetheless, they came in 2nd for both 4x400m and 4x800m relays. Cheo and Sherwin came in 4th for the 2x1200m, missing the 3rd position by quite a close timing. Nice team effort there! It's a great start for the year! Good to catch up with old friends too!
Overall, it was a straightforward and neat race organisation by Rock the Naked Truth. Cougars are always excited to support such events as it promotes camaraderie n excelling in track and field!
